Welcome to the AdC Gameset WEB page for Advanced Third Reich (A3R) and Empire of the Rising Sun (RS). AdC gamesets are automated "Play by Email" software aids that allow hex oriented boardgames to be more easily played across the internet. All movement of playing pieces and combat resolution is accomplished with a graphical interface. It is NOT necessary to record hex coordinates by hand or make other manual notations.
The gamesets, which may be downloaded from this WEB site, are "public domain." They are intended to facilitate play by A3R and RS devotees who either lack the time or cannot find opponents to play in a "face to face" mode. Although this WEB site is noncommercial (i.e. all offered AdC gamesets are free), please note that the Aide de Camp software and Avalon Hill boardgames are NOT! These items must be purchased separately from their respective vendors.
A3R and RS are complex boardgame simulations of the European and Pacific theaters of World War II which are played and and enjoyed by thousands of people around the world. These two games may be played individually or in conjunction with each other. If employed in this latter manner, they are collectively called Global War©. The rules for Global War are contained within Avalon Hill's Empire of the Rising Sun© boardgame product.
A3R and RS are the copyright protected property of The Avalon Hill Game Company. In order to use the AdC gamesets (which may be downloaded from this WEB site) one MUST first own a copy of Avalon Hill's A3R and/or RS boardgames. Without a copy of the actual boardgames, the AdC gamesets are useless for "Play by Email!" The AdC gamesets contain NO rules manuals, NO combat resolution tables nor any mechanized methods of bypassing the need for physical possession of the Avalon Hill A3R and RS games.

In addition to owning copies of A3R and/or RS, one also MUST possess a copy of HPS Simulations' AdC software to take advantage of the free gamesets available from this WEB site. By the express written permission of HPS Simulations, the owner of this WEB site has the authority to distribute "demonstration" copies of AdC. The demo AdC software that may be downloaded from this page is only partially functional! It is NOT capabable of writing any files to disk; therefore, is only useful to demonstrate what the A3R and RS gamesets look like and how the ADC software works. To load and operate the complete A3R and RS gamesets, you will need to have your own fully functional copy of ADC.
